Barbarik The Greatest Unknown Warrior of Mahabharata Warrior Barbarik was the grandson of Bhima and the son of Ghatotkacha. Having learned the art of warfare from his mother, Barbarik became one of the bravest warrior of his time.   Pleased with his talents, Mahadev Shiva granted him three special arrows and a special bow from Bhagwan Shri Agni.  It is said that Barbarik was so powerful that according to him the war of Mahabharata could end in 1 minute if he alone were to fight it. The story goes like this: At the beginning of the great war, Bhagwan Shri Krishna asked everyone how long it would take them to finish the battle if they were to fight alone against the enemy.   Bhisma said it would take him 20 days;  Dronacharya said 25 days; Karna asked for 24 days and Arjuna stated it would take him 28 days to finish the battle.   Eager to watch the war, Barbarik asked his mother if he could go to the battlefield.  His mother agreed, but asked him whose side he would choo

Hindu warrior  Murarbaji Deshpande Murarbaji Deshpande Killedar(Purandhar)  Murarbaji Deshpande was born into the Deshastha Brahmin family and his native land was the Javali Satara District. Later, in the service of Chandrao More of Javali, he moved to Mahad. He joined the army of Shivaji Maharaj in 1656 after the fall of More Kingdom to Bhosales. He soon became known as the Loyal Sardar of Maharaj and was awarded the title of Killedari of Puranadar. Stories are written on those who are extraordinary.    This story is regarding a Maratha Sardar Baji Prabhu Deshpande who is known for his valor. A loyal soldier to his king [Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj]. In the year 1660 after killing Afzal khan Maratha conquered Pratapgad and increase their empire till Kolhapur. After losing one of its best sardar Adilshah started losing its power. Adilshah want to recover back his province. Adilshah keeping faith on this Sardar Sidi Masud sent him Panhala to defeat Shivaji. Sidi surrounded the fort Panhala for six month. All the people living on fort were unable to survive because of lack of food supply.
